Terms of Service
Last updated September 21, 2026 · Draft
This is a draft, not a finished legal document.
It has not been reviewed by a licensed attorney, and the governing-law section below is explicitly left as a placeholder. Have an attorney in your state review this (and the Privacy Policy) before relying on it, publishing it as final, or onboarding real customers under it.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using LensLogic (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of a practice or business, you're confirming you have the authority to agree to these Terms for that organization.
2. What the Service is
LensLogic is a sales-intelligence and optical-calculation tool for optical practices and managers: KPI dashboards computed from sales data you upload, Rx calculators, and reference/troubleshooting tools for opticians.
The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or a substitute for professional clinical judgment.
Every finding in the Service is labeled informational, requires double-checking, or requires a licensed optician or optometrist's sign-off before it's acted on, and the Service says so directly in the product, not just here. Troubleshoot in particular is pattern-matching against commonly known causes, not a diagnosis. You're responsible for having appropriately licensed staff review anything the Service flags as needing verification before it affects patient care.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, for keeping your password secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think your account's been compromised. Today, one account represents one organization with one location, additional users and locations aren't self-service yet.
4. Your data
You own the sales data you upload. By uploading it, you give us a license to store and process it solely to provide the Service to you (computing your KPIs, generating an insight when you ask for one, and so on). We don't use your business data to train AI models, and we don't sell it. You're responsible for having the right to upload the data you provide, and for not including patient-identifying information in it, the Service isn't designed to store that.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't use the Service to:
- Upload data you don't have the right to upload
- Attempt to access another organization's account or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use any finding the Service produces as a substitute for a licensed professional's judgment where one is required
6. Fees
LensLogic is priced per organization based on how many locations you use it at: $129.99/month for your first location, plus $99.99/month for each additional location, billed monthly. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial on one location, no card required, before any charge applies. [Placeholder: the exact billing-cycle mechanics — proration when adding a location mid-cycle, failed-payment handling, and refund policy — still need an attorney's input before this section is final.]
7. Termination
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or where required by law.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every calculation or AI-generated insight will be free of mistakes, which is exactly why findings are tiered and some require a licensed professional's verification before you rely on them.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, LensLogic isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. [Placeholder: the exact liability cap and carve-outs need an attorney's input before this is final, especially given the clinical-adjacent nature of some findings.]
10. Governing law
[Placeholder: state/jurisdiction not yet set, confirm with an attorney before publishing.]
11. Changes to these Terms
If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify account holders directly.
