Kelle · live on this page

Ask what a patient asked you this week.

Kelle answers from the office’s own rules first, and tells you when it did. This is a sample office. Yours writes its rules in the first minute of the trial.

Tap a question or type one. The answer is live, not a recording.

  • OS Compound Myopic Astigmatism, spherical equivalent -6.13

SPHERICAL EQUIVALENT = SPH + CYL / 2

What to watch

  • OD: High Minus -7.50

High minus power means a thicker lens edge and more edge minification of the eye.

  • OD: High Cylinder -2.00

High cylinder, especially on an oblique axis, can mean a longer adaptation period.

  • OS: High Minus -7.00

High minus power means a thicker lens edge and more edge minification of the eye.

Why this exists

Most optical shops run on one person’s memory.

Every office has one: the optician everyone asks. When they’re at lunch, on vacation or gone for good, the answers leave with them.

  • The new hire guesses at the counter, or pulls your best optician off a patient again.
  • The job goes to the lab unchecked, and the remake comes back on your dime.
  • You can’t see which optician offers the second pair and which one never does.

LensLogic puts that one person’s knowledge at every seat.

What it does

One app. Three jobs your best optician does today.

Order Check and Lens Preview

Catch the remake. Show the lens.

Read the Rx, check the order before it goes to the lab, show the patient the lens before they buy it, and verify the job against ANSI when it comes back.

  • Order Check before the lab: Rx typos, a progressive with no ADD, a frame too short for the design, a big jump from the last pair, blank size and vertex. Then it writes the lab notes.
  • Lens Preview for the patient: every material drawn to one scale, thickness in millimeters, and your price for each step up once your prices are set
  • ANSI Z80.1-2020 checks on the finished job, line by line, before it goes on a face

Lens intelligence

What the lab is
about to cut.

A −6.00 −1.50 × 180 in a 60 mm frame. Both surfaces struck at their real radii, the edge computed from the sags, and the same prescription in four materials so the difference is millimeters rather than adjectives.

Diameter, base curve and center thickness are held at 60 mm, +3.00 and 1.5 mm across all four, so the only variable is the index. Many labs cut polycarbonate and Trivex to a thinner center than CR-39, which widens the gap further, so this understates the case rather than overstating it. Trivex is left out of the drawing because at 1.5 mm it sits close to CR-39 on thickness; it is offered for impact resistance and Abbe value, not for being thin. Your own lab’s base curve and minimums will move these figures.

Contact lens intelligence

Contact lenses,
with the same rigor.

A glasses Rx goes in. Vertex compensation runs per meridian. The matcher returns the lenses actually made in that power, from manufacturer spec sheets, not a lookup table.

Why we build differently

No logo wall. On purpose.

A logo proves someone else bought it. We’d rather you prove it works on your own prescriptions, your own jobs and your own numbers.

No patient records.
Built to hold no names, birth dates or chart numbers. A saved quote keeps the products and the price, nothing else.
No data sales. No ads.
The subscription is the business. Your practice's data is not for sale and is not used to train AI.
No outside investors.
Owned and run by the optician who built it. The only people it answers to are the practices that pay for it.
No black boxes.
Every calculated number shows its formula, and every reference entry shows its source.

Judge it on a prescription you dispensed today. Read how your data is handled →

The founder

Made for the counter.

Kenzie Rogers, founder of LensLogic

LensLogic is built and run by Kenzie Rogers, an ABO/NCLE-C certified optician who has worked in optical since 2017. She was the person everyone came to with questions, there was never a real source to send them to, so she built one.

Questions

What LensLogic is, and isn’t.

No. It works alongside the system you already use. No inventory, no claims, no health records.
It's built not to need patient information. No names, birth dates or chart numbers are stored, so we don't claim HIPAA compliance. The details are on our Trust page.
Everyone who touches a patient: front desk, technicians, opticians and the owner. Each employee gets their own login, their own tools and only their own numbers.
No. Quote Builder uses the patient's copays and allowances to show what they'll pay before you order. Claims still go through the plan's portal.
In the United States, on Prisma Postgres through Vercel. Only your practice sees your data, whether you're in the US or Canada. We don't sell it or use it to train AI.
Two clicks, from the Billing page. Export your saved quotes, playbook, frame board and redo log first. Nothing is held hostage.
